Script

Show Intro
SODA: Hey there, Blazers. Today is March 17, 2017, Saint Patrick’s Day.
CARLOS: We’ve got a lucky show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
CARLOS: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Carlos.
SODA: And I’m Soda. In the news, New Zealand parliament has officially made the Whanganui River a “Legal Person.” That’s right, after gaining full control of the river in 1840, the New Zealand government now recognizes the Whanganui River, now known as Te Awa Tupua, as “an indivisible and living whole… from the mountains to the sea.” This change comes after a more than 150 year campaign made by local Maori tribes, seeking justice for the mistreatment of the river by the government.
CARLOS: Students, this announcement comes straight from Principle Johnson. You have permission to use your phones for the next two minutes to visit tinyurl.com/blairvote and vote in order to help Blair win a grand prize of fifteen thousand dollars. In fact, Soda, let’s vote right now! (PULL OUT PHONE AND VOTE FOR AWHILE) Keep on voting to help our school win the contest, Blazers.

You can get the first book for free. After the first book, you get 1 book for every book you donate. Remember, go to Blair Boulevard to donate and swap review books during both lunches today.
