TRUNK: Hey there, Blazers. Today is Monday February 27th, 2017.
IYANU: We’ve got a superbly special show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.

IYANU: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Iyanu.
TRUNK: And I’m Trunk. The weather for today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 59 and a low of 45.
IYANU: Today in black history, in 1988 figure skater Debi Thomas became the first African American to win a medal at the winter olympic games. Thomas won the bronze medal for figure skating.
TRUNK: If you’re looking for a fun, casual spring sport, join frisbee club! Practices are Tuesday through Thursday after school on the practice field starting tomorrow, February 28th. The team came in second place at the state tournament last year, and this time is looking to win it all! Contact Coach Kris at krisgill@rocketmail.com for more information.
IYANU: Blazers, this message is brought to you by the upcoming Blair Climate Summit. Listen to the following quote by famous historian Howard Zinn. “You can’t be neutral on a moving train” Blair is currently in the process of planning the Blair Climate Summit. Their goal is to launch a revolution to get young people to pay attention to our changing climate, to learn the terrifying pace and timeline of these changes, and to spur this generation into action. If you’d like to be a part of planning this day in April, please talk to Mrs. Levien, Mr. Demma, or Mr. Paul. And remember, we can’t be neutral.
TRUNK: Student volunteers are needed to help with the Flora Singer Elementary School Science Fair on Saturday, March 18th.  Students are welcome to go on Friday from 7-8pm to help setup and/or help during the fair on Saturday from 9-1pm. IYANU: For all Spanish speakers and writers, the new Spanish yearbook section is looking for new applicants for next year. If you are interested in joining yearbook and can speak and write Spanish go to room 241 during 5th period to go pick up an application and to get any questions youngest have answered.  
TRUNK: The Career Connections Club is having its second meeting this Wednesday, March 1! Ava Wallace, a sports writer from the Washington Post, is coming to speak to students during 5th and 6th lunch in the Career Center (Room 121). Stay tuned on Twitter (@MBHSCCC) for updates!
