TRUNK: Hey there, Blazers. Today is Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017.
SHESH: We’ve got a spectacular show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
SHESH: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Shesh.
TRUNK: And I’m Trunk. The weather for today will be partly cloudy with a high of 65 and a low of 50.
SHESH: Today in black history painter Horace Pippin was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on February 22nd, 1888. Pippin is considered one of the major African American painters of his period. One of his more significant works, “John Brown Going to His Hanging,” is owned by the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
TRUNK: The MFC Choice Pantry at Silver Spring takes place the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m and is consistently looking for student volunteers to earn SSL hours.  There is an MFC Choice Pantry Open House celebration scheduled for Saturday, February 25 at 9 am. All students are invited to attend the celebration and then stay to earn hours. Let’s show our community that we care!
SHESH: There will be an interest meeting for the gymnastics team on tomorrow, February 23rd at 4:30. No experience necessary; so if you already know how to do gymnastics or you just want to learn some fun skills head out to the meeting. If you have any questions contact Ms Boule or either of the captains; Jasmine Scott or Jasmine Trejo.
TRUNK: Hey Freshmen! Are you interested in helping your class raise money? Is there something around school you want to see change? Or do you just have some great ideas and want to share them? Head to to Freshman Class Council in the Media Center conference room today to share your ideas.
SHESH: Tinker vs Des Moines was an extremely important Supreme Court case that allowed students to have free speech. Mary Beth Tinker, the student from this court case, will be coming to talk to us today in the auditorium during both lunches. Go hear what she has to say about free speech and students’ rights!!
TRUNK: In the studio with us we have a member from the SGA to talk to us about Pennies for Patients.
SGA Spot

Blazers yesterday was the start of the first weeks event game. This week till Friday SGA members will be going around the SAC to ask students if they want to play a trivia game to win candy during both 5 and 6th lunch. There is a wide variety of choices to pick from going from geography to math. Win or lose win candy! But in order to play you need to donate 25 cents to Pennie for Patients Leukemia and Lymphoma society.  After this week there will be a new game introduced! Remember blazers Pennie for Patients ends March the 10th!! Donate today!
