| SEBASTIEN: Today in 1997, the Virginia House of Delegates voted unanimously to retire the state song, “Carry me back to old Virginia,” which glorified slavery, an important victory in the battle for equality in the DMV. |
| SODA: Young Democrats is holding an open discussion on healthcare, the Affordable Care Act, and the new implications of Trump’s proposed changes. It will be held on February 22nd, from 3:30-4:30 in room 164. This discussion is open to everyone from all backgrounds and beliefs! There will be experts on these topics coming in to speak, so come prepared with questions in mind and be ready to discuss these issues at hand. Food and drinks will be provided! |
| SEBASTIEN: The MFC Choice Pantry at Silver Spring takes place the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m and is consistently looking for student volunteers to earn SSL hours. There is an MFC Choice Pantry Open House celebration scheduled for Saturday, February 25 at 9 am. All students are invited to attend the celebration and then stay to earn hours. Let’s show our community that we care! |
